Re: [PP 121] KAT-TUN - LIPS
Yay for original instrumentals ^^ You girls sound very good, very nice singing job all of you, especially liking Hani and A-C, whom I think I heard for the first or maybe 2nd time now x3~
What I don't like so much is that there's outmaxing during the group / duet lines throughout the song : / maybe tuning down the volume of the intrumental (and vocals) a little would have helped :3
I don't know the original too well but also A-C's voice was very loud / prominent during the chorus parts I think, dunno if it was intented :3 if so neverrrrmiiiind ^_^

Re: [PP 121] KAT-TUN - LIPS
Oh, sorry if my voice was too loud in the chorus, but i can't take everyone's volume to 100% or the chorus would buzzes :( I know for the volume issues, i hate that but not everyone sing the same volume and i have to play a lot with it, I'm always louder then everyone because my mic is loud or i don't know and i have to try to put up the volume of the other singers but being carefull cause if it,s too loud it buzzes, i'm better in mixing pop song then rock songs but oh well XD Thanks for the comments about my voice ! ^^
I'll try to be better mixer next time, this week i was pretty busy and i didn't gave my 100% in the mixing sorry i'll be better next time !

Re: [PP 121] KAT-TUN - LIPS
just a little advice for you AC :3
you said you want to raise the volumes of the others, but as you said that created the buzzing sound
this results from a simple calculation
if you have 2 people sing the chorus for example, and you make both of their volumes up to 100%, they both add up to 200% (that means its double as loud)
so in order to avoid the buzzing sound - and also since you dont want the chorus to be much louder than solo parts, you have to bring their volume to 50% each so they together make 100%
for 3 parts, you have to like make their volume 1/3 loud, so all three together make 3/3 (100%) ^^
the more people, the less loud their parts should be then...
i honestly never really calculate it, but if you go by the rule "the more people the louder it gets", you can easily play around xD

Re: [PP 121] KAT-TUN - LIPS
Yups, just as Ani said: If your voice is already pretty loud and you (ofc) cannot raise the other one's voices cuz then it would outmax, simply lower the volume of your own voice a little ^^;;;; then you can raise everyone's voices to the same level
But the outmaxing isn't really that bad here so I think you won't have much trouble with it the next time ^^ and I don't mind your voice being the most prominent in the chorus cuz it's really pretty x3

Ohhh ! Thank you for the advice !! I didn't know we had to make them 1/3 ans (ect...) ! XD I tough if i put down the volume too much it would sound lower then the rest of the song !! I'm gonna try it out !! :)
And thanks again !! =D

Re: [PP 121] KAT-TUN - LIPS
ooh it's sounds really good when everyone sings together!!D
Hani and AC you both sound so cool!
Sayjuicifer, it sometimes sounded a bit unclear/off key to me >.< but I could be wrong, my ears are noobs :p
I'm not gonna do a megacomment now... not my pp, not my type of band BUT I must say all you guys made a good cover together :3

Re: [PP 121] KAT-TUN - LIPS
Rawr :) thanks for mixing though AC! I know you're a great mixer hehe but of course everyone always has room for improvement.
My tip for volumes for group parts is, I balance volumes after timing so that everyone blends (turn some people up, turn some people down until everyone blends well) then I lower the volume of everyone a few dB until the whole thing played together doesn't max out then export the group parts and then mix them in with the rest of the song by adjusting the volumes of the group parts as if they were just solo parts and balance the volume out with the rest of the song. I hope that helps maybe!
